Following the opening ceremony of Bilbao Basque Fest 2025, held in the atrium of Azkuna Zentroa with the presence of the Mayor of Bilbao and a performance by the Sensei Music Ensemble, the festival’s activities, organized by Bilbao City Council (Basque country, Spain), began on April 18th at the “Txoko Gourmet” in Arenal. This event will be the epicenter of Basque gastronomy until Saturday, April 19th, bringing together numerous Basque tourist regions in over 1,500 square meters.
The ‘Txoko Gourmet’, open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., offers the opportunity to participate in tastings, where you can sample typical products such as gildas, sourdough bread, cheese, chorizo, txakoli, peppers, honey, ice cream, oil, Basque cake, cider, wine, and chocolate. Cooking workshops are also open.
